KeyStone Embed

KeyStone Embed is Shapstone’s integration module within the KeyStone Grid Intelligence platform. It enables seamless integration of KeyStone’s AI-driven fault intelligence with protection and automation solutions across vendor ecosystems and legacy systems.

Key capabilities

Vendor-neutral integration. Adapters and connectors for IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, and other industry-standard protocols.
Edge deployment. Lightweight KeyStone inference agents deployable on edge devices and substation RTUs.
Legacy system bridging. Gateways that connect KeyStone intelligence to legacy SCADA and EMS infrastructures.
Real-time data forwarding. Bi-directional data flow between KeyStone modules and protection relays, IEDs, and controllers.
Custom integration SDK. APIs and development kits for building bespoke integrations with proprietary systems.

Roadmap positioning

KeyStone Embed sits at the intersection of intelligence and action. While Locate and Forensics provide the analytical foundation, and Live delivers real-time feeds, Embed ensures that KeyStone’s insights can be consumed by — and act on — protection and automation systems in real time.

Embed is currently in roadmap development. Planned capabilities include:

Native IEC 61850 GOOSE message generation for automatic fault isolation.
Edge-optimized model packaging for low-latency substation deployments.
Integration with major vendor EMS platforms for closed-loop restoration.
