KeyStone Live

KeyStone Live is Shapstone’s real-time intelligence module within the KeyStone Grid Intelligence platform. It delivers continuous, streaming grid intelligence feeds that power operational decision support, situational awareness dashboards, and automated response systems.

Key capabilities

• Streaming fault detection. Continuous monitoring and detection of incipient and active faults across the grid.
• Real-time situational awareness feeds. Aggregated intelligence streams delivered to control center displays and SCADA overlays.
• Automated alert generation. Configurable alerts for fault events, instability, security anomalies, and DER irregularities.
• Low-latency processing. Sub-second processing of telemetry streams for time-critical operational decisions.
• Scalable ingestion. Handles high-volume telemetry from thousands of IEDs, PMUs, and DER monitors.

Roadmap positioning

KeyStone Live bridges the gap between real-time detection and strategic analysis. While Locate provides fault localization and Forensics handles post-event analysis, Live ensures that operators have continuous, up-to-the-moment intelligence at their fingertips.

Live is currently in roadmap development. Planned capabilities include:

• PMU-based synchrophasor analytics for wide-area monitoring.
• DER impact forecasting and real-time voltage regulation.
• Integration with distribution energy resource management systems (DERMS).
• Machine-learning-based anomaly detection for hidden fault patterns.
